Subject: RE: Deere Vs. Macdon Flex Draper

Magnolia, KY
Have 2 FD75s and a new FD140 this year running on Deere combines. Have had great service from these heads. They are so SIMPLE and do well for us in double crop soybeans with lots of wheat straw to deal with. Adding the headlight kit to make the contour master work has made these heads work even better. Another important consideration is the initial costs. A new FD140 is less than a 30’ hydra flex. I believe maintenance costs long term is lower on a Macdon as well due to its simplicity.
