| Google Gehl 5640 parts diagram and you'll be able to download a parts manual with schematic. Our 5240 glow plugs quit working and it turned out to be a bad solenoid on the back left part of the frame. There was an identical solenoid right next to it that might've been for the starter? It should be labeled. #26 in the attached. If you have a multimeter just test for voltage when the key is turned to the start position.
