We had an IDEAL8 Wheeled Machine run over about 450 bean acres and about 400 corn acres as a demo machine. In beans the Ideal actually beat a New Holland CR8.90 in a side by side pounds harvested test by 120 lbs using the HarvestPlus mode. In corn against the same machine the IDEAL got beat by an average of 900 lbs less on a quarter mile run in three separate tests.
Our loss out the back of the machine was neck and neck with the New Holland at 0.6 bpa sieve/rotor combined in corn. In beans it was 0.25 bpa. Grain tank sample was very clean.
In fluid efficiency the IDEAL ran 1.2-1.3 gallons per acre in beans which is average. In corn the IDEAL beat the pants off of every other combine we ran against. 0.67 gallons per acre avg in 15-15.5% corn. 0.91 gallons per acre avg in 18% moisture corn and higher.
The combine itself does a nice nice job. There are a number of software related items that need to be fixed (i.e. all the armrest sounds are too similar, there's only one way to change the discharge rate of the unload auger and it needs to be done before you start unloading to top off a cart/truck, etc.) but for coming from a blank slate 6 years ago to fruition it's a really nice machine.
