The fendt combine is an impressive machine that is getting a good reputation in the field. every demo we take it on it leaves a good impression with the farmers.

ran an 8t against a case 9240 in soybeans and it did good. class size smaller running 5 more feet of head same ground speed with similar losses and sample on less fuel. ran a 9T against several s680-780 deeres and the Fendt had a better looking sample. not fair to compare throughput since the 9T is a bigger machine but it was running 2-3 mph faster. compared it to a case 9250 and that was a good match. both machines had a very good sample it would be fun to get more time in the seat of the Fendt to learn more to push it harder.
The fendt is a pretty impressive machine, the one we ran had 182 hours on it and as far as i know it only lost a grain camera and a sieve actuator.
where the Fendt is going to shine is that it has the 3 year warranty with service plan included in the price. so for 3 years you get maintenance done, a yearly inspection done and have a loaner program and support system behind it. support behind it means you have a free customer support person that when you are going to get started for the year they come out and help get it set. if they are there for 4 hours it costs the farmer nothing. run the snoots into the ground, break a belt... if the guy can get you parts he will run them out to you, change crops he can come out to help make sure you are good to go at no cost. ask your deere or case dealer for that type of person and support. tell them if field service comes out to help with settings or technology its free and see what they say.

the x9 is a class 11 machine and the fendt 10t is what you would run against it i think that would be a fun match since the 9t was doing a fantastic job at 5k+ bushel per hour. we have yet to see a competent combine guy run the X9 over 10k acres to see what it can do and to see what it will cost to maintain.
I dont know what it costs vs a deere or case on the annual payment but extend the warranty out to 5 years and then compare the overall cost of ownership when you put maintenance and support into the equation and i bet its not that far off.
