The Twitter post I saw had the 8900 pushing a16 row chopping head in 250 bpa corn in Iowa which would be conditions similar to ours. Seemed like an apples /apples comparison regardless of class rating?
Sooo... If the 8900 has double the throughput as our 585 in similar conditions, what is missing from the class rating system that a class 10 is not double a class 8? Not trying to be sarcastic, I'm just curious.
Edit: I see the 8900 is actually a class 11...
You don’t know if conditions are the same unless they’re in the same field at the same time. Just going from DK corn to Pioneer can cost us 1 mph or more depending on the weather.
