South Central Kansas | Combine was great overall, very quiet and enormous capacity. We currently run two New Holland Combines in beans. A CR7090 and a CR9060, both cat 7 machines. We ran the claas with a FD140 and it was a fine match but 45' wouldn't slow you down much. We currently run FD75's, good heads, happy with their performance. I can't speak to the cylinder speed really as everything was in Auto mode or was dealer set so i didn't change any machine settings. That being said the auto mode created one of the cleanest bean samples I have ever seen and we have always been very pleased with and tout the clean samples our new hollands create. We are looking to move from two machines to one and think this machine will allow that. Our barometer is to be able to cut an irrigated circle of beans in an ~ 8 hour cutting day. For reference we were harvesting 75 bushel irrigated beans at 4.5-5 mph with a 40' head while our CR7090 was running 3.0-3.5 mph with a 35' head. Overall good experience, will strongly consider one when it comes time to trade machines. | |
