E. CO, exactly half way between NE and OK | If people knew what the windmills cost the taxpayers, they wouldn't believe it. The taxpayer pays to get them built and then they are turned over to the energy company to sell the electricity to the public. There is an operating wind farm about 20 miles west of us that had one of the three blades fall off a windmill. I guess it cost too much to bring in a crane to replace the blade, so they blasted the bottom of the tower so it would fall over. |
