E. CO, exactly half way between NE and OK | I was talking to two of the workers before they started up with the generator and I told them I thought I was too close and they said I was so I moved my pickup back. They also moved their smaller crane out of the way if the crane fell over.
I wasn't very close, I zoomed in on a couple of pictures. They had two ropes on the generator to keep it from rotating when it was going up.
