I have seen information on studies using a ketogenic diet while doing conventional cancer treatments with good results. Fasting is just another way to produce ketones, basically a zero carb zero calorie diet.

So I agree with what you are suggesting. But I think I would skip the chemo, do the fasting and the radiation treatment. But of course it is a lot easier to say what I would do when I don't have cancer than if I would get it. So my ideas may change if my condition changes.

Ketones have nothing to do with the studies that Dr. Longo is doing. The theory is that fasting will put healthy cells into a protective state so that healthy cells are not damaged and the cancer cells are more susceptible to the chemo.
