central Ia | In my wife's case it did prolong her life, she was even cancer free for a few months, with cancer it is a time game, you are hoping that someone will come up with a cure while you are taking the chemo. One Dr told us that she had seem more advancement in cancer meds in the past 5 yrs than she had seen in the first 20 of her practicing medicine and this was in 2000. it's very hard to know what to do when you are told you have cancer and especially if it is caught in the late stages, my wife's was non-small cell lung cancer stage 3B and depends on your age she was 45 when we found out 1 son still in school, 1 in college and 1 working, none married, she really wanted to see the youngest graduate and go to the other 2 weddings but that didn't happen | |
