Since my wife has lower back disc issues I do the "heavy vacuuming." Lucked out and found a nearly new Kirby with all the attachments at a yard sale for $100. I really like it. For quick clean up my wife uses a battery operated Hoover. It does a good job for what it is but don't expect deep cleaning.
Vacuum just blew up, looking for replacement.
