Steiger Man - 10/30/2020 09:15 We’ve been running JD tier 4 engines since they’ve come out on over 20 pieces of equipment. Have had a total of 1/2 hour downtime related to the emissions on these engines. Now I’m sure the next guy will say he can’t go 2 hours without his JD tractor throwing a code. So I think it’s a problem you can’t run away from unless you turn the clock back on your machinery 20 years.

You are one of the lucky ones.

I don't think so.  With all the combines, tractors, sprayers, swathers our JD dealer has out there, they would need 50 technicians running around if NAT actually represented the real world.  We even have a few non JD tier 4 engines and they haven't given us any problems either.  One thing is we never let them idle which is something I see a lot of guys still do.
