
| A much bigger/much newer combine and a head with an air bar on it has made soybean harvest somewhat enjoyable. I used to absolutely hate combining beans with the old 1640 standard rotor. The combine was underpowered and the head didn't feed very well unless the stems were dry.
With the air bar if the sickle will cut the stems the head will feed them in, the combine has plenty of power and the AFX rotor will thresh them.
I pulled out of some beans this fall that were green and wet. Stuff coming out the back could have been bagged for silage. They were combining fine but I didn't think the elevator would take 20%+ beans.
