East Central Ia | Beans were surprising. I still haven’t gone through my weights but I would say right around APH maybe slightly under. I was expecting 10bpa under APH.
Corn is just not good. Places were it escaped the wind it’s decent 200-220, good subsoil moisture it’s really good 240-260. Spots that died prematurely from drought are 120bpa. Field averages are struggling to break 200 on the good farms and 175-180 seems to be what I hear a lot of.
For the most part I am seeing 40-60 under APH.
I am on my third farm now combining across the rows the direction the wind blew it down. Looks like this one will be one way as well. It’s so damn dry everything is brittle and won’t feed in.
Thankfully we are 20” rows and can combine across the rows. It works amazingly well, slow but we can get what’s there.
Time for 2020 to freaking end | |
