Subject: Covid hits close to home.

Aggieland
I feel like it’s a bad dream. My wife’s second cousin (like an Aunt to us) Rory Thomas, has gone on to be with Jesus after dealing with the complications of Covid. She was such a wonderful lady and anyone in the Lubbock farming community likely knew her and her husband Kurtis. She was also the director of Lubbock Impact the local soup kitchen and outreach center. Kurtis is KT of the Fat Tire Cowboys if you’re into airplanes and follow them on Facebook or Instagram. They are our dearest mentors and my wife and I have done everything we can to emulate how they treated each other in marriage and the way they raised their three children. I cannot imagine the pain they are in but also the peace they are feeling knowing she’s with Jesus now. No doubt the future will bring a lot of hard days for them (and for us). I’m so thankful that when just two months after our first child was born we moved to Lubbock and got to spend two years living in the same town and really getting to know them. If you’re a believer would please send a prayer for the days, weeks and years to come as this strong family tries to march on after losing such a wonderful lady.

Hug your loved ones
