deep SW On.
+1 .... Black Swan events are unforseen byall as who knew about Russian Great Grain robbery and crop prices going up 4x , or BSE crashing Candian beef or that ethanol would ever be so big to push corn acres/price......Ag Ministers are often rmembered as to how the farm economy was while they held office but a big export mkt. or an embargoe that they had nothing to do with moves price points......or when intgerest rates went from 10-22% in 2-3 yrs......

A clay farm north of me (300+- acres) just sold to Hydro 1 for new electrical service /transformer site for $9.1 mil. , ...

My friend tryed to buy it around $15 yrs. ago but it didn't happen and sold then for $850k.....wasn't a coveted farm as it had 2 rows of electric towers through it at an angle...

Guy that bought it was one of biggest farmers in the county at the time and retired last yr.,...lot's of money ,but when you are in your 80's money probably isn't that impoertant....and he owns lot's of other farms
