Its ok, they'll all build houses out in the woods with NO defensible space around them, again, and in a few years they'll get burned out and move on, again...hopefully for you guys. I always find it interesting that its everyone else's fault that they have massive fires and loss of property. Hello...you built your houses in a desert/arid forest on the steep slopes of mountains where the ff's can't get in to actually attack the fires. There aren't more natural fires, but that there is more fuel from years of not managing it making them burn hotter and over more area. Of course, there are more fires, but that's due to the overwhelming stupidity of people. Its not the climate changing that is the bulk of the problem.


I agree Nickeischeid, you can't fix stupid but you can hit in the head with a 2x4 board! My father was BLM land manager in the 70's in California. They didn't have these catastrophic fires because they managed fuel loads. If your not going to log it or graze it, your going to burn it.
