NW Iowa
I’m a grease guy and I sell it as a side gig. I farm full time as well.

I won’t mention what I sell but I can tell you that John Deere grease has very poor specifications. Most OEM greases are very poor in the specifications department.

The grease I sell has a 120lb tinken load rating. Deere SD polyurea is 35 lb timken load rating I believe. What this means is that my grease will stay in pins and bushings a lot better. It won’t move or get squeezed out. My grease is also cohesive. It literally bonds to metal.

I could go on about grease but who wants to listen to that.

All greases are rated/tested the same way. They all have specifications listed. Some aren’t easy to find the specifications for. Compare specs, and you’ll know what you’ve got.
