It looks like it was made in 1721 if the 300 years old is accurate. I don't know much about cannons but I would think an 1821 cannon would look similar. I wonder where it was made?
In the last picture I posted there is a metal tag above the axle. I thought I took a close up picture of it with my phone but apparently it didn't save. It stated something to the effect of made in 1721 under the reign of King George.
I also wondered how they knew it was from 1721 vs. 1821. |
