We ran 640FD until we went red last year and ran a 3162 40 ft cnh draper. After that mistake, we purchased a FD140. We love the MacDon. It performs very well shaving the ground while and requires very little adjustments. Even though we loved the JD640FD, I think I have to give the MacDon the win. In the end, either of these heads will perform very well if properly adjusted.
