Ok. Thanks everyone! I didn’t think it should really matter too much. From a flow point of view it made sense to me to install it with water flowing out of the straight end into the bell end so I was surprised that I was instructed to install it the other way. It sounds like it really doesn’t matter anyways. As mentioned by another poster it would be easier to keep the end clean by installing it the other way, as my dealer instructed me to. I never would have thought of that. I’ll likely install it that way so if something does go wrong my dealer won’t say “I told you so”. Lol. He’s a nice guy so I wouldn’t expect that anyways.

He also tells me I can put the pipe together above ground and push it into the trench. If that doesn’t sound like a good idea please let me know that also.
