I've seen them done with just putting an angle iron under the top plate of the head for the throat to hook under. The reason I didn't go this route was because the outlet of the head and intake of the feeder house were not even if you did it that way. The head was higher. I wanted the floors to be the same height so I did it my way. That bottom wedge plate really saved me alot of time.
