NE Neb
I've never ran an 883. My friend had one and loved it but he said parts were too expensive and harder to get. He went to a 3000 when he updated combines I converted my 1183 to work on my 8780xp when I had it. It worked fine. I run a 3000 now but kept the 1183 because it's not worth anything and never hurts to have a backup around. It wasn't bad to convert but I had a wedge kit off a bean head to use for the bottom plate that locks the head to the combine. That made the project easy. Also my 1183 was a Brazilian built metric made for the 8570 combine so the drive shafts were all ready on the bottom not the top. I'll get some pictures and post after awhile.
