Daylight and nighttime do their slight day to day change, DLS doesn’t change the hours of daylight.
DLS changes the time most of the population is up and about an hour so they see more daylight in the early evening so they feel like going out shopping or eating or the like, instead of just staying home ‘because it’s dark out already’. Kind of an economic thing, really....
