I saw an email from an adviser a couple weeks ago based on Rabo economic research.

Domestic supply issues
Value-priced world commodities
Trade deal commitments
China is trying to build up a domestic supply of essential commodities in an unfriendly world.

Report said this was short-term bullish but long-term gave China some market leverage with their on-off command economy switch.
