TD Ameritrade and Scwhab are in a proposed merger at this time. At some point in the future, they might be the same company.
I have been a well satisfied Schwab customer for about 20 years. Somehow I hadn’t heard of the Ameritrade deal so I checked on it just now. Expected to close late this year it is less of a merger and far more of an acquisition on Schwab’s part. TD Ameritrade stock shares will be converted to Schwab stock.
