Ne Nebraska
Another piece making it look likely that the Funk property is correct. The 1880 census has the next family after my ancestors listed as Ludwig Julius, which look just across that creek to SE. There are no addresses or legal descriptions.

9 family members living in household. I'm sure it wasn't a 3-4000 sq ft home many families of 3 or 4 have to have now days!

Other families listed before and after mine in the 1880 census are Boerner, Bayeman, and Heiliyer.

Edit to add. Maybe not the right place. Just looked at 1870 census and real estate value owned is listed at $2000, which makes me think they owned the farm in 1870. Families listed before and after them in the census are McConnick,Heiliger, Pfil, and Julius. I'm thinking the property would be pretty close to Liberty Ridge Church where they are buried.
