BtBookworm - 8/30/2020 22:30 They are probably farmers. Somebody had to say it!-lol ...growing up that was one of my dads favorite sayings when we saw an "Oh $h1+ house". That was in the 80's and 90's when there was very little money in farming and we were barely making it, always made me laugh and I still remember that quip today whenever I pass a mansion like that.
In all seriousness, there are more than a few farmers today who could afford a house like that if they wanted it. Maybe not that extreme but a million dollar home would not be a problem by any means. Many years ago it was the doctors and lawyers who were the wealthy with the big homes and outbid farmers on land for investment. Now days farmers are some of the wealthier folks in the community. It's easier today for a young person to become a doctor or lawyer than it is to be a farmer due to the money it takes to get into farming. Times sure have changed.
A nice little place in the country.
