I run a 98c new holland (same as either case 2000 or 3000 series, can’t remember) and it sucked as far as header loss since new. Put calmer stalk rolls on it and it immediately went to zero header loss. My vote is for the cheap case head (or even cheaper yellow equivalent, since you’re planning on chopping on it) and a set of calmer rolls.
