You need the flail shredder to do a good job. Everyone in my area uses them and they all ran rotary shredders at one time. It’s mostly cotton here but I have shredded some corn and they work great. They don’t windrow and cut the stalks in smaller pieces. There are Woods and Rhino models here. Both work real well but people seem to think the Rhino is more reliable.
