SW Ohio | I already have a rotary, Krone5.52. It is doing the best job of any I have tried so far, had it eight seasons and over 4000 acres on it now and only replaced one tooth. My problem is it makes what I call lumps/clumps, and believe me I have tried every combination of adjustments and speeds to eliminate this and those lumps reek havoc with making primo hay fast. If I try a second tedding when conditions dictate, it makes it five times worse, so I am thinking a reel type would be the thing to use on that second pass, it just needs fluffed up sorta.....
My reason for drive choice is, if I like it I will get two and a tandem hitch and the drive system would make it easy or tricky, but am fully capable of either way. Just want to do it right the first time. | |
