| Here in Western Iowa we have been on the dry side the entire growing season literally living rain to rain. With that being said we went into the growing season with a full soil profile so the crop never appeared to show much stress. This week the beans are finally throwing in the towel and calling it quits. Fields are turning gray with highs only in the low 80's. Areas of the fields are beginning to yellow. We are at the brink of where a rain will not make a difference. Damage is done, salvage mode here at best. | |
