SW Indiana
Went though this in the spring after eating on my FIL new traeger. After hours of looking and researching you tube and agtalk finally went with rec tec. I bought the 700 size, it was around $1200 or so, they make smaller cheaper ones. It is great and I would highly recommend.

We cook on it all the time, no more frying bacon in the house, getting burnt with grease house smelling like smoke...put bacon on the rec tec at 400, never even turn it, comes out smoky great.

Ribs, brisket, burgers, sweet corn, shrimp, crablegs, steak, chops, pizza, chicken wings, cabobs, veggies, a bacon bomb (you tube it, it's awesome), beer can burgers (same youtubers - BBQ pit boys) are some of the stuff we've made. Smoking salmon for supper tonight.

Rec tec app is cool and I use it more than I thought I would...on the way home from wherever and want to get to grilling, fire it up on the way home and it's hot when you get there.
