Central S.D. | Was in the same boat. Good reviews on Traeger and Green Mountain, but the price... So never did anything, local Macs hardware had some Pit Boss grills in and bought the 1000 size for $500. Seems like they used enough metal and seems to be a good grill, fired it up after church for fish and was at 550f in a few minutes. Use cheap Mac’s pellets. Love it, Phoenix gas grill sits unused.
