Gleaner and Ideal are both Agco, so in a sense they are related. I talked with a guy who worked for Agco. He said running Gleaner and Ideal all day together in a comparison in corn (I'm assuming same class machines but not sure), the Gleaner did 200 bushels an hour more than the ideal. He said the advantage the Ideal had was the larger grain tank and unload capacity eliminated the need for two grain carts. The Gleaner needed two carts so that it didn't have to stop but the Ideal only needed one. Think he said the Gleaner averaged 4200 bushels an hour, which lines up with a video I saw where Gleaner was claiming 4000 bushels an hour. I'm guessing Agco won't be putting out that the Gleaner out performed the Ideal.

As the Ideal is a range of combines, not one machine, which one was the Agco guy talking about? The smallest single rotor? I could believe that it would be about the same capacity as the largest Gleaner as the power is roughly the same.
