Subject: RE: Gleaner vs X9 and Ideal

McCanna, ND
Case and NH big models both have 16L engines. They probably aren’t to far behind the ideal or X9 series machines. Gleaner is stuck at a class 8? Combine, transverse rotor can’t really get much larger then it is now to increase capacity. I think more and more new large combines will be ordered with tracks, not for going through mud but just to help with compaction issues. 50k is a light combine now, add 10-12k for a head, and 450bu hopper full of wheat is another 27k. ~90k is a lot of weight going through a field
