Not sure what that baler has for a gate lock indicator but a common bale starting trick is open the gate slightly to make the belts turn and as soon as you have everything turning and hay going in lock the tailgate and hammer down.
Get a temp gun and keep checking roller bearings. I've had problem bearings that caused lots of grief for bale starting biut weren't very obvious.
