The head following the warmth is essentially the head following the light. There are three types of heat transfer: convection, conduction, and radiation.

The convection and conduction would be essentially the same across a pulvinus and would not cause the pulvinus to flex in any specific direction.

However, radiation (sunlight) would be different based on shading patterns. Therefore, it is more precise to say the head follows the light. But either is correct.

Heliotropism and phototropism are basically the same thing. Heliotropism refers specifically to the sun whereas phototropism refers to ANY light source (Marijuana growing in a garage?)
