Subject: Ordering 2010 seed corn

In going throught the seed catologs 2 of the seed companies we have been dealing with have only one or two conventional varieties, the third company has probably six. Is anyone else noticing this?

We do not care to pay the fee for RR when we don't want to use it and then have to add another chemical the following year in soybeans to control the volunteer corn.

Most of the varieties are not acceptable to Europe, our primary market sells a lot of its products to Europe so they don't want these stacked varieties. Our second choice to sell to often is 10-25 cents lower and they will take these varieties, but they will not be open for business after December for six months or a year or more.

Any thoughts?
