Central iowa
Some spots get some rain while 2 ft away get nothing lately.(so spotty).. My farm has very little tile and is great black ground so it's fairing ok this year conspired to some but have lost off the top 20% ++ already, mite be morerealistically like 40%?.. Many places are worse than me in Greene county like far south where less rain, soil not as rich, and more rolling.. And farther south or west you go, worse it gets.Corn looks like pinapple trees in poor soil.. Corn on corn isn't a good subject now..Just wanting rain now to hold what's left and keep test weight up... Afraid test weight is going to be piss poor and can't help but make pig feed going through cbine..just our turn I guess... To add- no water movement in small rivers.. Started watering cows last week..haul them hay in 2 weeks. Mow yard, 2 weeks ago for weeds and before that 3 weeks- just to get the shades spots.
