Would like to try freeze branding. Used to put a Nasco metal tag in each heifer/cow, and a plastic ear tag, and replaced any lost ear tags by reading ID on metal tag in the chute. Last few years, just been using two regular ear tags...usually they don't lose both between turns thru the chute.
I agree, the Ritchie tags are the best of the plastic ear tags.
How do you do......Cow identification?
