If you're serious about getting a picker for fresh market corn, Pixall used to (still might?) make a 3 point mounted 1 row picker. Seen them from time to time on Tractorhouse....


Oxbo still makes a one row pull type. I have not priced one but I’m pretty sure it would take a tremendous amount of fresh sales to make it pay, if it would ever pay vs hand picking. A guy I know that used to do a lot of fresh corn said they went away from mechanical picking because by the time you paid a sorting crew, you might as well put them in the field with a mule train and get the picking and sorting all done at once.
