AYT is the same as MAB (Marker Assisted Breeding) with a better name. Which most all soybean breeders have used for the past 5 years or so. It's just a matter of knowing where the genes in the DNA are and figuring out what to do with them.
The old RR gene when palced by the gene gun was a "look here we can spray roundup and it won't die" technology.
RR2Y is the same gene place on a specific chromosne of the Soybean DNA that is supposed to trigger yield. If it does we will see.
