I agree with others and deer being worse this year than ever.
Here in SW Ohio we can get damage control permits from DNR, they will come out and look at the damage and issue permits. We have 15 permits to use until the end of September, have taken 7 off one 5 acre field in the last 3 weeks. We get depredation permits here in Iowa also, up to 120 per year. But state charges $13 for each permit, gets kinda expensive when going to the hardware store to activate the tags. BS in my opinion for charging for depredation permits. If you clothes pin a well worn hat and/or gloves in a couple strategic spots will make a big difference. Also go around the barbershops/salons and tell them you’ll take all the hair clippings. Scatter those around the perimeter once in awhile. Deer have just about zero tolerance of human scent.
