Maybe I didn't express it well. As GG points out below, there is quite a bit of art and knowledge that goes into building as good fence, especially on rolling/hilly ground with a lot of gates and corners.This is what I meant to say we should appreciate from folks that do this for a living. There is a lot of skill and experience that goes into doing the job well.

There is also a lot of work for sure! Muscle-using work.  But when you get done you've got some visible evidence and results from your work that you can be proud of.

Paul, I have had some Multiflora Rose but work a eradicating it like the plague! My Loftness orchard shredder clears a nice path for fences. When it's time for the dozer that is when I call in the reinforcements! This weekend was not dozer-type fencing, fortunately.
