Eastern Iowa | I really like that job, too. Laying out a fence and building braces efficiently is an art that few people know anymore.
It helps to have a D7 CAT to go through before you start, too.
We have something like 40 miles of fence on our farm, so you have to like it, right? (A county road runs right through the middle of the farm.)
When our hired man was in college he mapped all our fences with a backpack GPS for a class project and graded them for quality, obstructions that needed to be removed, etc. The result was a "fence plan" that will provide us with plenty of summer work for years to come. | |
