Thought they got rid of that feature years ago?

I remember of that feature when cell phones first came out but haven't heard of it lately. I'm on Verizon and haven't noticed that option.

Last year I bought a set of Midland Walkie Talkies that we use between the combine and the grain cart. We only talk back/forth a few times a day but they work out well. The cart driver and myself in the combine still have our cell phones to talk to the outside world or each other if the Walkie Talkies should fail. The Walkie Talies work fine since we are close to each other. I've really had no need to test their range.

The "Call" button on the Walkie Talkies is a simple way to alert the other person. The Walkie Talkies will run the batteries down if forgotten on overnight so I have a charger in each rig.
