The first can I had I don't think I even finished it. It was my wife that actually got started on drinking it regularly. Artificial sweetners had given her problems after drinking diet sodas for a number of years so she had switched back to regular pop. Of course that was a disaster for her weight so she got off regular pop and she said the fizzy-ness of the sparkling water gave her that satisfaction of a pop replacement. So after she got to drinking it regularly I would take one once in a while. The more I got away from diet soda and other things that tasted sweet, the less objectionable the flavored soda water became. After a while it became my preferred drink. Now I even like the unflavored soda water. So I think for me at least it was transitional taste buds that made the difference. I enjoy several foods now that back when I needed that sweet taste I would not have enjoyed. John |
