People around here use whole corn, and some high protein pellets added in. Its a product from Kent feed. I'm sure other companies produce the same thing. Anyway it has an additive called Bovitech which they, Kent feed claims allows the cow to get all the nutriments from the corn and stop bloat. I'm not sure what this bovitech is. but I personally don't believe in using any type of additives. Steroids or hormones or any other junk that is fed to cows. Just my preference. I do know that some cattle bloat on hole corn, and this bovitech is also suppose to stop this. I had a guy that was buying all my feeders and claims he got a few cattle that would bloat now and then. over the years some died from bloat and now he no longer takes my cattle. He climes it's the bulls, which I think is bulls--t. Can you breed cows that won't bloat on corn? Hell if I know, but my guess is not. I use Red-Angus x Simmental, and buy the best bulls from reputable breeders I can afford. So anyway my point, if some of my cattle are dieing from bloat then obviously this product is not 100% effective. I'm not sure of the spelling of bovitech. Don't use it don't care.
