Little River, TX | The base saturation for Calcium alone is between 90% & 95%. Soil has an 8 pH, 8,000 ppm Ca and 8% free lime.
If the lab is building a base saturation based on a computed CEC it is not worth the paper it is written on. There is just too much natural variability in soil test results for K, Mg, Ca, & Na.
Interesting theory but useless.
Than again I have a very low opinion of soil test reliability. I tend to like tissue analysis better, and that has warts. | |
